The happy-birthday boy!
(Daddy was holding a video camera in one hand, the still camera in the other, had a cold, and it was pretty darn dark, so the picture is quite blurry. Still, I think it's a nice effect nevertheless.)

Ojii-chan (grandpa) happened to be in Kyoto for his birthday (he's normally in Malaysia for business), so Fumie's brother Shogo drove in, and we all went to a tofu restraunt, Ume no Hana.
