23-Nov-2005 12:27.30 PM (aged 3 years, 1 month) The temple (or shirne -- whatever) was pretty much in the mountains already, and from there a path went up into the mountains more. We knew that one branch of the path would eventually lead us to the back of the Nanzen temple, so we decided to give it a try. Anthony was a real trooper.

23-Nov-2005 12:54.23 PM (aged 3 years, 1 month) Anthony got tired and after a while wanted to be carried. Such requests come at a price, and Daddy got a kiss out of it.

23-Nov-2005 1:00.38 PM After seeing almost noone for the previous hour and a half, we descended into the Nanzen Temple and the teeming throngs of humanity. (Actually, you don't see many in this shot
due to Shimada-san's good timing, since he took this one.)

23-Nov-2005 1:04.07 PM There's a huge aqueduct bridge running across the back of the Nanzen Temple area. Here, we're looking down the legs of it, lengthwise.

23-Nov-2005 1:04.40 PM Katsunori Shimada took this shot of part of the aqueduct bridge at the Nanzen Temple, Kyoto Japan.
I really love this shot, and think it'd make a great desktop background.

23-Nov-2005 1:06.46 PM This shot gives you a little feel for some of the crowd that was here.
(There aren't that many in our immediate area, but in the background you can see
standing-room only crowds trying to move about.) I'm glad that we were just passing
through at this point.
