Looking back west after a trek up the road in Shishigatani, toward the mountain and its trail. It's hard to see unless you look at the "massive" version of the picture, but much of north-central Kyoto is splayed out in front of us. The house immediately on the right was quite nice as well. I just wouldn't want to have to walk up this far every day!
